"Lush" and "precipitous" are the two words I'd choose to describe Madeira. Sadly, I wasn't able to make the most of the few days I had there this time, but it's definitely a place I'd like to return to and explore better. I'm not going to moan about the things that didn't pan out, so I'll just share a few photos of the one day I did manage to get out for a "levada" walk.
